Toyota G'Sports@Tokyo Auto Salon 2010

Just what is G'Sports? (Or G's) To quote Toyota, the G'Sports Series, "is designed for customers who strongly desire to own a unique vehicle, offering them a personalized interior and exterior design along with sports-driving performance." Kickass in-house Toyota Tuning in other words.

The main event at the Toyota area was of course the G'Sports Turbocharged FT86. Even though i have showcased this car earlier, here are some additional pics.


I LOVE this car and i hope it comes out to production with it's aesthetics unchanged.

From what i gather, this car got the car of the show award. Well deserved.

Proving how excited the motoring world was with the FT, here's the crowd around the car on trade day.

A fully restored AE86 with a Initial-D inspired cup of water inside, sat behind the FT.

If a normal Lexus IS-F is too soft for you, Toyota debuted the Circuit Club Sports (CCS) Concept. Toughening up the IS-F CCS's lightweight carbon body panels are a host of mechanical goodies. Track-tuned suspension, magnesium-alloy wheels, titanium exhaust system and even an LSD.

This little Toyota Sports 800 had been converted to run on electricity.


The LF-A racecar was also on the showfloor to add to the racing lineage.

I got 5 sets of these FT86 postcards from Tokyo Auto Salon to giveaway. One of them feature a pair of illustrated FT86s' from a recent issue of Option by Kato Hiroya, and another piece has the same cars in photographs. I think the illustrated ones look pretty cool so i took a zoomed in shot of it here.

Day 2:Part 1: Shinjuku > Makuhari Messe: Tokyo Auto Salon 2010!!!

A really early morning had me board the 640am train to Tokyo station, switching lines to finally arrive at Kaihin-Makuhari. The holding location for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2010! I was one of the earliest to arrive and the morning at Makuhari was freezing cold.

Registration for press started at 8am and at 9am, the gates were opened! I'll skip you all the details, but let's just say, it was choked full of AWESOMENESS! For starters though, here are pictures of the FT-86. *I'm too sleepy and tired to post anything else too, it is almost 3am in Tokyo now... Many apologies ~ suimasen*

Biggest moment for me at the show? H### yea! Turbo Boxer RWD Power FTW!
Can't wait for this car to be released, it's gonna be crazy~ I tried my best to take as many pictures as possible, but the car was constantly swarmed with people edging to get a closer look. Looks like Toyota has a big winner with this one. *I might even want to sell of my E36 for this* Anyway... the pics!
